I El.lipse Award for science communication: CONGRATULATIONS!

Today, November 13, we finally have the names of the winners for the I El·lipse Award , organized by Science meets Society. The awarded works, that will be published in the next edition of El.lipse, are:

1st Prize in the category of texts:

Letter to a young scientis -Author: Marga Nadal

1st Prize in the category of graphics:

Totipotent -Author: Ignaci Buch Mundó

Award: 1000 €

1st Consolation prize in the category of texts:

Once there was a cell - Author: David Mateos 

Award: Voucher of 200 € at the Herrero bookshop

2nd Consolation prize in the category of texts:

The first interview -Author: Joana Ribeiro

Creative Writing Contest - Meeting

There's a meeting scheduled for those interested in the creative writing contest. It will take place on Monday 19th at 16:00 on the sofas of the 5th floor.

The main issues to discuss will be:

1. The topic of the stories that we want for the contest (which can range from a description of a research line in an everyday language to fictional stories with science as the background)
2. Length of the stories, languages allowed, awards, etc. Also, how restricted the contest will be: for PRBB researchers only, for members of research groups in Barcelona/Catalonia or open to members of all research groups in Spain.
3. Funding
4. Selection of an award jury
